Kimono KONY-SANTA CHRISTMAS Brunch PROJECT: Sunday 12/2 10am-4pm Come have brunch at Kimono and help some wonderful children have a happy winter holiday season! This effort is being organized by The Famous Sumo Champion Konishki through the The Konishiki Kids Foundation. The foundation has historically supported donating toys to underprivileged children in Japan and last year began a special effort to reach underprivileged children in the affected areas of Tohoku. In early December, former Sumo Star Konishiki will travel to Tohoku to meet with children in orphanages and local kindergartens and present them with toys from "Kony-Santa". Tohoku Planning Forum Workshop with Arup and TPF2 Forum 1 December 2012.

Saturday 1 December. an all day workshop session with Arup where we will be focused on "execution NOW". It will immediately be followed by a TPF2 Forum. It promises to be an exciting day! Volunteering:   Second Harvest Japan   will lead the first ever homeless census in Tokyo December or January, people would use apps to upload information about the location, number of homeless, and number of temporary houses. participatory mapping . create an app in which people can upload information they are tracking in a specific area. For example, the location and status of public rest rooms in a specific area. Users upload information to a data base and a map is created.  Starting with a pilot project in Tokyo then possible expansion  participants would either download an app to enter data or go to a secure website.   The data would be collected both during their normal commute and when assigned an area to check. For example, I live along the Arakawa River. During a bike ride I could check both sides of the river from about Kita-senju to Tokyo Bay.
